Federal Council Early Terminated Turchak's Powers
The Federal Council has early terminated the powers of the first deputy speaker Andrei Turchak, who was appointed as the acting governor of Altai Republic, reports RBC correspondent.
At the same time, the Federal Council awarded Turchak with a special insignia for his contributions to the development of parliamentarism.
On the previous day, June 4, President Vladimir Putin signed an order about the resignation of Oleg Khorokhordin, the governor of Altai Republic, and the appointment of Turchak to that position.
In the same session, the Federal Council also early terminated the powers of Belgorod senator and former governor of the region, Yevgeny Savchenko.
