CEC Reports Instances of Double Voting in Presidential Elections
The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Russia has reported just three cases of multiple voting in the upcoming 2024 presidential elections, according to CEC member Anton Lopatkin.
“The CEC of Russia has completed joint work with the electoral commissions of the subjects regarding voters receiving multiple ballots... As a result of the checks, it was revealed that three voters received ballots twice,” Lopatkin stated during a CEC meeting.
The CEC working group has verified information from 6,946 precinct electoral commissions across 89 regions of Russia, including information from nine electoral commissions in other countries, Lopatkin clarified. Additionally, the CEC examined all information received from mass media and social networks, he added.
“Whether it's a few or many, three cases are indeed few compared to the large turnout and the number of voters participating in the elections,” Lopatkin remarked.
