Baku Reviews Appeal Against Extension of Ruben Vardanyan's Detention
The appeal against the illegal detention of former Artsakh Prime Minister Ruben Vardanyan has been reviewed in Baku, concerning the court's decision to extend his detention. According to Azerbaijani media reports, the decision was read during the proceedings at the Baku Court of Appeals, and Ruben Vardanyan's appeal was not granted.
It should be recalled that on April 16, Vardanyan's detention period was extended by five months. The Baku Sabail District Court had approved the presented motion. Baku seized Ruben Vardanyan from the Hakhari Bridge on September 27, 2023, and has since illegally detained him, bringing fabricated charges against him.
