Kiran Residents Report Surveyors Coming to Village
Only one day remains until the designated deadline. Residents of Kiran village in the Tavush region are anxiously awaiting May 15. “We were informed in advance that the deadline is May 15,” said Kiran resident Gohar in an interview with Faktinfo, noting that it had been previously stated in meetings that demining work and the installation of pillars should be completed by that date.
“They arrived at the area where there are still controversial and frustrating issues and stopped, but they haven’t come yet,” said another Kiran resident, adding that they are waiting for the surveyors to come and start measuring the section of their fellow villager Mher Simonian's house, which, according to preliminary information, should come under Azerbaijani control. “The villagers are anxious,” the interlocutor of the media stated.
It is noteworthy that the boundary demarcation work in Kiran has been interrupted without any official clarification, although primary demining activities have been carried out in the areas of Voskepar, Berka, Baghanis, and Kiran.
