Following this fixture, the gap between first-placed Real and second-placed Girona has widened to 13 points, meaning Girona no longer has a chance of overtaking the Madrid team.

Real Madrid currently holds 87 points after 34 matches and leads the standings. This marks the first time the royal club has claimed the Spanish championship since the 2021/2022 season.
