Iran Declares Territorial Integrity of Armenia Must Be Respected
During the international expert forum in Vorotan, Mehdi Sobhanian, Iran's extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Armenia, stated that the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of countries, including Armenia, must be respected.
“Iran is opposed to geopolitical changes, as well as changes to international borders. Regional issues should be resolved by the countries of the region. We are against external interference. Tehran welcomes the lifting of transport blockades and the opening of borders, but this should happen within the framework of national sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries,” the ambassador added.
