Armenia Still Unable to Define CSTO Responsibility Zone, Lavrov Says
“Armenia is currently unable to define the responsibility zone of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) within its territory,” stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with Sputnik, Komsomolskaya Pravda, and Govorit Moskva.
“When they say that the CSTO cannot determine where its responsibility zone is in Armenia, I will say that Armenia has not yet made that decision itself. It is incorrect to say that the Armenians left Nagorno-Karabakh because of the alleged inaction of Russian peacekeepers. I hope that Russia will maintain the highest level of communication with Armenia for an honest discussion of the situation, without the arguments of Western malefactors,” he noted.
