Yerevan and Astana Declared Sister Cities
The capital of Armenia, Yerevan, and the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, have been declared sister cities. The signing ceremony of the relevant document took place at the residence of the President of Armenia following a meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The agreement to proclaim Yerevan and Astana as sister cities was signed by Yerevan's Mayor Tigran Avinyan and Astana's Mayor Zhanis Kasymbek.
It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Armenia for an official visit. He was welcomed at the Zvartnots Airport by the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan.
