Klar on Opportunities for Achieving Sustainable Peace Between Armenia and Azerbaijan

There are opportunities to ensure sustainable peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated by the spokesperson of the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Toivo Klar, in response to a query from the Azerbaijani Report.

The EU welcomes the ongoing exchange of draft texts regarding this issue between the parties, including the latest proposals sent from Yerevan to Baku.

"We are in constant contact with both sides. After several years of negotiations and discussions between the parties, especially at the highest level with the support of President Charles Michel, elements have emerged that can ensure sustainable peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Klar stated in his response.

In response to a question about whether the EU Special Representative will visit Armenia and Azerbaijan in the near future, it was noted that Toivo Klar frequently visits the region and will continue to do so to contribute to the resolution process and the peace agenda.
