VIDEO: I'm Getting Emotional, Let's All Get Emotional Together, Arshak, Come Home: Kocharyan
Everything will be aimed at a peace agenda. This was stated by the MP from the ruling party, Andranik Kocharyan, during a conversation with journalists.
When asked whether peace can be achieved through gunfire, Kocharyan replied: "There should be no gunfire, but gunfire has accompanied us for 30 years. Do not be afraid. Gunfire must eventually stop. This enmity is the result of many years, and overcoming it will not be easy. Achieving peace is more difficult than waging war. In many cases, wars are fought to achieve peace. To reach peace, we must increase our military capabilities every day."
Journalists asked the MP whether we should respond to gunfire with gunfire, given that Azerbaijan has ceased firing. Kocharyan noted, "If the need arises, you will witness that as well. By the way, the former defense minister who fled from Armenia talks about whether to shoot or not. I'm referring to Arshak Karapetyan. There is no order not to shoot; if the commander believes a response is necessary, he will provide that response."
Kocharyan addressed the former defense minister, saying, "I'm getting emotional, let's all get emotional together, Arshak, come home, let's create a tribunal here. How can I not follow defense ministers who have fled Armenia? I have been following him for a long time," said the chairman of the National Assembly’s Defense Committee, responding to the question about what awaits Arshak Karapetyan here.
