Alen Simonyan Seeks Apology and 2 Million 480 Thousand Drams Payment

The President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, has filed a lawsuit against the representative of the Republican Party, Ashot Andreasyan, as reported by "Hraparak".

Simonyan has requested the court to oblige the respondent, Ashot Hakobi Andreasyan, to publicly apologize to him. The declaration for the apology is to be framed as follows: "I, Ashot Hakobi Andreasyan, apologize to Alen Simonyan," with the content stating: "On February 27, 2024, I made statements in a video published on the YouTube channel of LIVEnews.am that pertain to Mr. Simonyan. I inform that the video contains offensive expressions concerning Alen Simonyan, for which I apologize to Mr. Simonyan."

Simonyan has also made a financial demand, seeking 2 million drams as compensation for the "offenses contained in the publication" and an additional 480 thousand drams to cover legal costs.
