We Will Do Everything to Ensure Such Incidents Do Not Happen Again: Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has admitted that military forces 'accidentally' struck peaceable residents of the Palestinian enclave in connection with the deaths of humanitarian workers in the Gaza Strip, and assured that such incidents will not occur in the future.
'Unfortunately, a tragic event occurred recently when our forces unintentionally hit innocent people in Gaza. Such things happen during wartime. We are thoroughly investigating the incident, in communication with governments, and we will do everything to ensure that such incidents do not happen again,' the Prime Minister stated.
The statement was made following his discharge from the hospital, where Netanyahu underwent surgery under general anesthesia.
Earlier, the international non-profit organization World Central Kitchen had reported that seven of its employees, including citizens from Poland, Australia, and the United Kingdom, were killed in Gaza by the Israeli army.
