Residents of Firdus Alarmed as Authorities Threaten Evictions Over Property Documents
Today, on April 2, residents from the 33rd district of Yerevan, specifically Firdus, reported their concerns to ArmLur.am. The longstanding issue remains unresolved, as residents face the imminent threat of losing their homes once again.
“They are coming to evict us. They say we don’t have property documents, but that doesn’t matter; we have lived here for five generations. They are telling us to take our things out. If we don’t remove our belongings soon, they will forcibly remove us. Right now, there are 25 people registered here, and they are trying to evict everyone,” a resident from Firdus recounted.
The report mentions that no additional time has been given to the residents. It is worth noting that last year, residents of Firdus staged a protest regarding the same issue.
