Photos: Ministry of Emergency Situations on Landslide at Hrazdan Riverbank
On March 11 at 11:00 AM, the National Crisis Management Center received information that the Arzni 2 water pipeline had been damaged due to a landslide, leading to the suspension of the water line's operation.
Operational teams from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the National Crisis Management Center, and the Department for Population Protection and Disaster Risk Reduction have been dispatched to the site.
It was revealed that on March 10 around 11:00 PM, a landslide (approximately 20 meters) occurred near the summer cottages of Kanakeravan, affecting the Arzni 2-Yerevan water pipeline (1000 mm).
Rescuers are conducting preliminary assessments at the scene, while employees of Veolia Water LLC and the Yerevan City Hall are engaged in emergency restoration and cleaning of the landslide area. Measures are also being taken to widen the riverbed and alleviate slope pressure.
