Emergency Medical Services Call Process Digitized
The call sheets for urgent and emergency medical assistance will now be filled out electronically. A new mobile application will enable the upload of patient data into a single system. This was stated by Davit Karapetyan, the acting head of the Health Department, during a working meeting of the Yerevan City Council.
Emergency doctors will have tablets on hand that will record each step from the moment the call is received, including the time of the call, the patient's complaints, diagnosis, interventions performed, list of medications, and the process of transferring the patient to the hospital.
“Upon receiving the call, the information is currently transmitted via dispatchers to the tablet. Of course, in the future, we will have immediate transmission. Complaints will be noted right away, and there is also a voice entry option, along with the ability to capture electrocardiograms,” Karapetyan stated. “All diagnoses included in the international medical classification system are included, and they can be easily and correctly entered.”
In addition to documenting the call process, it will also be possible to collect payments via cards for paid services using the tablets.
