The Radio is Under Fire: Khumaryan to be Punished with Legal Measures
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "About 20 days after Nikol Pashinyan’s infamous interview with Public Radio, the relevant authorities have begun inspections at the Radio. In particular, at the suggestion of the State Revenue Committee, the Inspection Body of Health and Labor of Armenia has been conducting checks at Public Radio since February 26. They are meticulously reviewing the employment contracts of the radio staff to ensure compliance with labor legislation. According to some information, the inspections will conclude on March 10.
It is worth recalling that shortly after the interview, Khumaryan criticized both his employee for conducting a poor interview and Nikol Pashinyan, who, according to Khumaryan, suggested from that podium that we Armenians should "stop being who we are. We have been told that the Turks are strong and the Armenians are weak." The criticism from the Executive Director of Public Radio has not been taken lightly by the ruling Civil Contract party, which was reflected in their sharp response; however, as is customary, it has also been decided to punish him with criminal legal measures."
