No One Can Criticize the Armenian Army, Le Cornu
During a joint press conference at the Ministry of Defense administrative complex, French Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Le Cornu announced that French «Bastion» armored vehicles will soon be supplied to Armenia. Addressing the sale of French weapons to Armenia, the minister emphasized that they all have defensive importance.
“In this region, the protection of both the population and borders is a priority, and no one can criticize the Armenian army for enhancing its defensive capabilities,” declared Le Cornu.
The minister also added that if Armenia needs short, medium, and long-range air defense missiles, those will also be supplied. “This means being a committed and reliable partner when it comes to the sovereignty of a country,” Le Cornu noted.
The French Armed Forces Minister highlighted that his visit and that of the delegation reiterates the significance of Armenia to France. According to the minister, France is ready to stand by Armenia in matters of military education, and French military educational institutions are open for the retraining of Armenian military personnel.
“We will have a military advisor who will always be in Armenia; we also need to guide programs related to air defense for the benefit of the reforms you are already implementing,” said the French minister.
