Orban Identifies Best Option for Ukraine to Preserve Statehood
The best option for Ukraine to preserve its statehood would be to serve as a buffer zone between Russia and the West. This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban during a conversation with Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel.
"If this does not happen, Ukraine will lose its statehood," Orban predicted, clarifying that when creating a buffer zone, it is essential to consider security guarantees.
Orban emphasized that Russia will never accept Ukraine's membership in the EU and NATO.
