Northern Ireland Does Not Rule Out Leaving Great Britain: Sky News
Northern Ireland's new First Minister Michelle O'Neill has stated that she contests the British government's claim that there is no realistic prospect of conducting research on the Ireland border for 'decades to come.' O'Neill declared, 'I would absolutely contest what the British government has said in this document, as my election as First Minister illustrates the changes happening on this island,' in an interview with Sky News.
O'Neill emphasized that 'we are living in a decade of possibilities.' In July, The Daily Telegraph reported that the Orkney Island authorities are considering allowing the archipelago to separate from Great Britain and reunite with Norway.
