Wildberries Denies Reports of a Search at CEO Bakalchuk's Home
The information regarding investigative actions at the apartment of Tatyana Bakalchuk, the founder and CEO of the online store Wildberries, is false, the company's press service has reported. Earlier, Telegram channels had reported that searches were conducted in the entrepreneur's apartment and her documents were confiscated.
On January 18, law enforcement arrived at Wildberries' Moscow office due to a fire that broke out at the Shushary warehouse and sent a notice to Bakalchuk's home to provide testimony regarding the incident. The company stated that no documents from the entrepreneur were seized either at her home or at the office.
Later, Bakalchuk testified at the Saint Petersburg Investigative Committee and noted that her company is actively cooperating with the investigation to clarify the reasons for the incident as quickly as possible. A fire broke out in the Wildberries warehouse in the village of Shushary, Saint Petersburg, on January 13.
