Japan Reveals Flight Characteristics of North Korean Ballistic Missile
On December 14, a ballistic missile launched by North Korea traveled 500 km during its flight, reaching a maximum altitude of 50 km. This information was stated in a declaration by the Japanese Ministry of Defense, as reported by the NHK television channel, citing RIA Novosti.
The ministry noted that the missile landed in the Sea of Japan, outside Japan's exclusive economic zone. It has been reported that in connection with the launch, Tokyo has filed a complaint with Pyongyang.
The Ministry of Defense added that Japan will continue to collect and analyze data with the support of the United States and the Republic of Korea.
According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea, the DPRK missile traveled approximately 1,000 km. Seoul has described the launch as a threat to peace and stability on the peninsula and promised to respond promptly to any provocations from its northern neighbor.
