Russians and Ukrainians Are One People: Civil War Occurs Between Brothers, Says Putin
Russians and Ukrainians are essentially one people, and what is happening today is a tremendous tragedy that resembles a civil war between brothers. This statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a direct communication with citizens.
According to him, all territories of the Black Sea have been transferred to Russia following the Russian-Turkish wars. “Crimea and the entire Black Sea region have come under Russia due to the wars with Turkey. What does Ukraine have to do with these? Odessa is generally a Russian city. We know this. And everyone knows this,” Putin stated.
He also mentioned that Russia was prepared to come to terms with the loss of historical territories, but the policy of the West and Kyiv has forced Moscow to take countermeasures.
