Is a Second Wave of Mobilization Expected in Russia? Putin Responds

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that there is currently no need for a second wave of mobilization. He made this announcement on December 14 while summarizing the outcomes of the year.

Putin clarified that 244,000 people have been mobilized in the special military operation zone. According to him, there was initially "a lot of mockery" directed at those mobilized, but he emphasized that "the boys are fighting well."

"We have undergone partial mobilization, calling up 300,000 people. The boys are fighting well. There are 14 Heroes of Russia among the mobilized. The influx of men is not decreasing," stated the Russian president.

"So why would we need mobilization? There is currently no such necessity," concluded the Russian leader.
