VIDEO: Current Situation on the Road Leading to the Upper Lars Checkpoint
The road leading to the Upper Lars checkpoint is completely closed to freight vehicles from both directions. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by Vahan Hakobyan, the customs attaché of the Armenian Embassy in Russia.
“Due to snow and black ice on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the international Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars highway, the Khachi Pass is fully closed to freight transport in both directions,” he stated.
According to Hakobyan, the road remains open for light passenger vehicles.
