INSPECTIONS: Operation of Non-Alcoholic Beverage Production Plant Suspended
The inspectors of the Food Safety Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia have suspended the operations of a non-alcoholic beverage production plant belonging to "Amelit" LLC in Geghanist, Ararat region. This was reported by the FSIB.
During the inspection, the following violations of sanitary and hygienic norms established by legal acts were identified:
- The design and structure of the production building did not prevent cross-contamination of food raw materials and products, as well as dirty and clean property.
- The periodic cleaning, washing, disinfection, insect extermination, and rodent eradication processes of the production facilities, technological equipment, and property used in food production were not implemented.
- The plant was not constructed in a manner that prevents the accumulation of dirt, the entry of foreign particles, and the occurrence of undesirable mold. The internal windows did not have easily removable and cleanable insect protection nets.
- The facility was not equipped with handwashing sinks with hot and cold water, a device for drying hands, nor dressing rooms for staff.
The production activities of the non-alcoholic beverage plant have been suspended, and a deadline has been set for addressing the identified violations.
