Russian Side Acknowledges Violations Recorded by the Media Regulatory Body, Ministry of High-Tech Industry Reports
The Russian side has acknowledged the violations recorded by the Armenian Public Television and Radio Commission, resulting in a joint statement signed between the two countries. This was reported by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia.
The joint statement was signed today in Yerevan as a result of bilateral consultations between the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia and the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. An agreement has been reached to take steps to ensure proper compliance with all points of the agreement.
It should be noted that a member of the ruling “Civil Contract” faction, Lusine Badalyan, stated weeks ago that it is necessary to disconnect Russian television channels due to their “anti-Armenian content,” which poses a threat to the country's national security. She also mentioned that discussions on such an initiative have been ongoing for quite some time and will be brought up in the National Assembly.
