Israeli Army Intensifies Shelling of Gaza Strip: At Least 14 Hospitals Bombed
The Israeli Defense Forces are intensifying artillery fire and targeting hospitals in the Gaza Strip. This is reported by the Lebanese Al Mayadeen television channel.
According to the report, Israeli soldiers are carrying out "continuous artillery bombardments towards the eastern regions of Gaza." In the Al-Tuffah area, a shell struck a gas station, igniting a fire that resulted in several deaths and injuries.
Moreover, the television channel claims that the Israeli army has conducted "widespread bombings targeting at least 14 hospitals in the Gaza Strip, mainly located in the northern region."
It is also noted that since the beginning of the conflict in the Gaza Strip, more than 15,500 people have been killed, according to the official representative of the Palestinian enclave's health ministry, Ashraf al-Qudra.
Independent sources are unable to verify the credibility of this report under the conditions of the ongoing war.
The statement on the health ministry's Facebook page says, "The number of victims of Israeli aggression has reached 15,523, and at least 41,316 people have been affected." According to the Gaza health ministry, 291 healthcare workers have been killed since the conflict began on October 7, while 56 ambulance vehicles and the same number of medical facilities have been destroyed.
On the morning of December 1, the Israeli army accused Hamas (designated a terrorist organization in the United States and the European Union) of violating the ceasefire, announcing the resumption of military operations.
The new clashes commenced after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israeli civilian settlements on the morning of October 7. The number of Israeli casualties is approximately 1,200, with hundreds of hostages, several dozen of whom were released during the temporary ceasefire in exchange for the release of detained Palestinians.
Arab and Muslim countries are accusing Israel of committing war crimes in Gaza and demanding an immediate halt to military operations. Israel denies the accusations and insists on achieving key objectives in Gaza and thoroughly destroying the extremist structure of Hamas.
Additionally, medical staff from the Palestinian Red Crescent have been injured in an attack by Israeli soldiers in the northern region of Gaza, particularly in the area of Faluja.
