Israel Outlines Main Objectives of War
Israel aims to free hostages and eliminate the Palestinian radical Hamas movement as part of its renewed military operations in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by TASS, citing a statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office.
"As we return to military operations, we emphasize: the Israeli government is committed to achieving the objectives of this war," the statement reads. The prime minister's office noted that the main priorities include the release of hostages, the destruction of Hamas, and securing assurances that the Gaza Strip will never again pose a threat to Israeli citizens.
On December 1, the Israeli army confirmed the resumption of military operations in the Gaza Strip.
