‘The Aggressive Rhetoric of Armenian Politicians is Outside the Bounds of Adequacy’ – Zakharova
Of course, we have intensive communications in accordance with our mutual obligations, agreements, and bilateral relations. However, it is impossible not to note the sometimes aggressive rhetoric of certain politicians in Armenia, which is generally beyond the bounds of adequacy. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a briefing on November 15, responding to a question about the intensity of communications between Russia and Armenia.
‘Naturally, all agreements reached at the highest level are being discussed intensively, which are formulated as relevant documents. And, of course, communications within the existing mechanisms that I mentioned in relation to the implementation of agreements at the highest level are being conducted. Of course, we have intensive communications regarding our mutual obligations, agreements, and bilateral relations. However, we cannot overlook the sometimes aggressive rhetoric of certain political figures in Armenia, which is generally outside the limits of adequacy, directed not only at representatives of the Russian government but also at journalists, experts, and, generally, our country. We cannot remain unresponsive to this, and there are, of course, specific actions and steps being taken by the official Yerevan that also do not correspond to everything we have agreed upon, everything we have signed, and the starting points we are working from. Undoubtedly, we will respond to this as well,’ said the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
