Saakashvili Declares Lavrov's Words Direct Threat to Georgia's Military Invasion
Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has stated that the words of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov represent a direct threat to the military invasion of Georgia. It is recalled that earlier, Lavrov declared that Russia would not leave the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
“We must demand a large amount of air defense systems and anti-tank complexes. We must urgently stop the flow of Russians into Georgia. We need to be able to find common ground with all the major groups in the country and abandon the instrument of hatred. With a politically loyal approach towards Russia, new aggression cannot be avoided. The Russians need symbols, such as the one they failed to achieve in 2008— the Russian flag and the boot of a Russian soldier in the center of Tbilisi,” Saakashvili stated.
