We Discuss the Economy with Iran as a Tool for Enhancing Security: Armen Grigoryan
The economic relations between Armenia and Iran are developing intensively. This was stated today by Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan on Public Radio.
He noted that while trade turnover was $350 million in 2021, there is a possibility to reach up to $1 billion this year, and in this regard, economic relations are acquiring security significance.
He responded to a question about what issues he discussed with the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran by saying, "You know how important the North-South route is for Armenia. It is of great importance in the context of infrastructure development, as well as the Peace Corridor. For this reason, we discuss the economy as a tool for enhancing security."
