Video: Is the mandate a lifeline or do you genuinely want to engage in activities in the National Assembly? Journalist to Kocharyan
The National Assembly of Armenia has convened its next four-day sessions. Today, at the start of the session, Tigran Parsilyan took his oath and became a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction. Robert Kocharyan's son, newly elected MP Levon Kocharyan from the 'Armenia' faction, also took his oath and assumed his powers.
At the National Assembly, a journalist asked Levon Kocharyan whether the mandate is a lifeline for him or if he genuinely wants to engage in activities in the National Assembly. Kocharyan noted that he will answer the questions after leaving the National Assembly.
It should be recalled that according to the decision of the Central Electoral Commission, on November 6, Kocharyan received a mandate from the National Assembly 'Armenia' faction, having been released from detention.
Kocharyan has been charged with failing to comply with the legal demand of the red berets to clear the way during a peaceful protest on September 22, and for using violence against police officers.
