What Statements Have European Diplomats Made About Peace Talks Between Armenia and Azerbaijan
In Brussels, Germany's Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock stated that the EU should intensify joint efforts to support the peaceful process between Armenia and Azerbaijan. “The European platform defends real security, real trust, and real peace in the region,” said Baerbock.
France's Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna also remarked, “It is important that the Council of EU Foreign Ministers reaffirms its support for Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity by strengthening the EU’s monitoring mission and through the European Peace Facility; it is time to do so.”
It is noteworthy that today, EU member states' foreign ministers were set to discuss the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh, particularly the peaceful negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the EU's support for Yerevan.
