VIDEO: Russia Could Conduct Aggression on Armenia's Sovereign Territory with Azerbaijan - Aghazaryan
Moscow could deploy troops together with Azerbaijan and carry out aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia. This was stated by Member of Parliament from the ruling Civil Contract party, Hovik Aghazaryan, in an interview with NEWS.am.
“When Azerbaijan feels that its military potential and political component significantly outweigh Armenia’s military and political power, then it will resort to military actions. That is not the case now. True, their military potential is much larger than ours, but our political component is much stronger than theirs. Therefore, there is a balance,” he said during the interview.
When asked where the strength of Armenia's political component is visible, Hovik Aghazaryan replied, “Today, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and in some respects, even Russia openly threaten the inviolability of Armenia's internationally recognized borders. This situation is unacceptable for great powers and for civilizations in general. Russia may collaborate with Azerbaijan to deploy troops and carry out aggression on Armenia’s sovereign territory. I do not rule that out, but it is not so easy.”
