European Commission Recommends Granting Candidate Status to Georgia for EU Membership
The European Commission has advised the EU Council to grant candidate status to Georgia for EU membership. This was announced by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. The information was reported by TASS.
Additionally, the European Commission has recommended starting negotiations on EU membership for Ukraine and Moldova, contingent upon meeting a series of conditions.
Specifically, Kyiv must complete negotiations regarding reforms in the country's cultural, social, political, and economic life to advance its EU membership bid.
