Important Updates on Jalal Harutyunyan's Case: Lawyer
Lawyer Arsen Sardarayan states: "I am pleased to inform you that the public criminal prosecution against the former commander of the Defense Army, J. Harutyunyan, regarding the counterattack incident on October 7, 2020, has been halted for exonerating reasons.
A nearly 306-page expert conclusion by a military commission, comprised of 11 experienced military strategists, unanimously proved that there is no criminal composition in J. Harutyunyan's actions during the counterattack; he acted diligently, alertly, and competently.
Unfortunately, despite the fact that it is evident from the content of the aforementioned expert conclusion that J. Harutyunyan's guilt concerning the losses incurred due to the enemy's attack on the D-20 division at the Tsori military unit on October 12, 2020, is clearly absent, and that the responsibility entirely lies with the command of the D-20 division, the public criminal prosecution in this regard has not been halted, which is extremely concerning.
I will present the details of the above circumstances at a press conference in the coming days, where I will answer questions from interested journalists. Further details regarding the location, date, and time of the press conference will be provided soon."
