Construction of the Yeraskh Metallurgical Plant Continues, But Not in Yeraskh
The construction of the Yeraskh metallurgical plant is ongoing. This was stated by the Minister of Economy of Armenia, Vahan Kerobyan, during a conversation with reporters.
"It is in the implementation phase," noted the minister. However, he emphasized that the plant would not be located in Yeraskh but rather nearby, without specifying the exact location.
In response to the question of whether this means that the Armenian side is conceding to Azerbaijan's threats, Kerobyan replied that they are dealing with private companies making investments and it is up to them to decide their future actions. "Considering our geographic and regional environment, we are trying to be as helpful as possible to them," added Kerobyan.
According to the minister, various investors are hesitant to start investments in Armenia, which is why Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan states that peace is of significant importance for our investment environment.
