VIDEO: Vahe Hovhannisyan on Pensions and Minimum Wage Increase
In 2024, a salary increase of 8 percent will occur in the job market due to various economic developments. Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan stated this during an interview with NEWS.am in the National Assembly on October 30.
“We will not be raising the minimum wage because such an increase would also lead to a rise in public sector salaries, which is not planned for 2024. Furthermore, a pension increase is also not planned for 2024. Through our medium-term expenditure program, we have detailed that we aim to reach our target indicators by 2025-2026,” he noted.
