Mikheil Saakashvili is Striving to Regain Power in Georgia, Says MP Maki Bochorishvili
Mikheil Saakashvili is striving to regain power in Georgia, according to Georgian Parliament member Maki Bochorishvili, who stated that the former president "lives with the sole dream of returning to power in Georgia" and therefore acts against the current authorities of the state.
“Saakashvili uses everything for this purpose. He utilizes the political force called the ‘United National Movement’ and other opposition parties... Any important issue related to Georgia is used not for the benefit of Georgia, but for his own interests,” explained Bochorishvili.
The politician added that he uses, is using, and will continue to use Georgia for his own benefit.
It is worth noting that Saakashvili entered prison in October 2021 after returning to Georgia on criminal charges, and was transferred to a clinic in May 2022 for health reasons. From there, he announces his willingness to participate in Georgian politics, as well as hints towards Moscow and Tbilisi.
