Hours After Military Operations Began, I Realized We Were Alone: Artsakh President

Hours after military operations began, I realized that we were alone against Azerbaijani aggression. The Russian side was in a monitoring status. This was stated by the President of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan, in an interview with the Artsakh Public Television.

“The Armed Forces and our population started retaliatory actions together. Thanks to that, we initiated negotiations with Azerbaijan that lasted for 12 hours. The forces were unequal; the longer it continued, the more casualties and losses there would be. My goal as the President of Artsakh is to stop the military operations as quickly as possible and avoid more casualties,” said Samvel Shahramanyan.
