Kremlin's Commentary on Recent Events in Makhachkala
Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has commented on the events that took place in Makhachkala yesterday. According to RIA Novosti, Peskov stated, "This is mainly a consequence of external interference, including informational influence."
Peskov also added that Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting today to discuss the West's attempts to use the events occurring in the Middle East to divide society.
"Putin will deliver a public speech on Monday with all the heads of security forces, including Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev," Peskov said.
It is important to note that massive unrest occurred on the 29th at Makhachkala airport against the backdrop of escalating tensions in the Middle East, linked to the arrival of a scheduled flight from Tel Aviv.
