Remembering and Demanding: Canada's Foreign Minister's Message in Armenian
Canada's Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly, accompanied by Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, visited Tsitsernakaberd to pay tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Following the visit, she made a post in Armenian on social media, stating: "More than 1.5 million Armenians were killed during the Armenian Genocide in 1915. Here in Yerevan, we continue to commemorate the memory of the victims and commit to never forget this dark chapter of our history." She concluded her message with the phrase in Armenian: "We remember and demand."
It is noteworthy that the visit of Canada’s Foreign Minister to Armenia began on October 25. She met with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and participated in the opening of the Canadian embassy in Armenia.
