Chinese Foreign Minister Visits the US, Meets with Biden
US President Joe Biden and China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed bilateral relations and competition between the two countries, according to the White House.
"The president emphasized that both the United States and the People's Republic of China need to adopt a responsible approach to competition in their relations and maintain open lines of communication," the statement said.
Biden also noted that the US and China must work together to address global issues.
The US president extended his condolences over the death of former Chinese state councilor Li Keqiang, who passed away at the age of 68.
Wang will be in Washington from October 26 to 28. He is also scheduled to meet with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
