Stoltenberg Specifies Sweden's Deadline for NATO Membership
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has sent a letter to the alliance's members stating that Sweden must become a member of NATO no later than the foreign ministers' meeting scheduled for November 28-29, according to Bloomberg, citing a representative of the Swedish government.
“Stoltenberg sent a letter about a week ago to all NATO member states indicating that Sweden should become a member no later than the NATO foreign ministers' meeting on November 28-29,” the statement reads. According to the agency, NATO representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
