Video: Makhachev Knocks Out Australia's Representative and Wins

Russian mixed martial artist Islam Makhachev has knocked out Australia’s Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi.

Makhachev defeated the Australian Volkanovski and defended the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight title.

The 35-year-old Volkanovski has been the UFC lightweight champion since December 2019 and has successfully defended his title four times. This loss marked the Australian's second defeat in 14 bouts in the organization. Overall, the fighter has recorded 26 wins and suffered 3 losses in MMA. This is the first time the Australian has lost via technical knockout since 2013.
