British Prime Minister to Visit Israel Today
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will arrive in Israel on Thursday morning as part of a two-day visit to the region, Downing Street has announced.
Sunak is set to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog, before traveling to several other capitals in the region.
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz notes that Sunak's visit has been made possible due to assurances from Israeli authorities that they will allow humanitarian aid to reach the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Politico has reported that Foreign Secretary James Cleverly will exert diplomatic efforts during his three-day visit to stop the spread of conflicts. According to a statement from the UK Foreign Office, he intends to meet with the leaders of Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar.
