Biden Announces $100 Million Humanitarian Aid for Gaza
United States President Joe Biden has announced $100 million in humanitarian aid for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. According to RIA Novosti, Biden made the announcement following talks with Israeli leaders.
“Today I am also announcing an additional $100 million in humanitarian assistance for Gaza and the West Bank, which will support more than 1 million Palestinians who have been forced to leave their homes; this aid will address the emergency situation in Gaza,” he said.
Biden noted that Washington is cooperating with international humanitarian organizations to assist those in need, calling on the international community to ensure access for Red Cross personnel to hospitals, as well as to open pathways for the transportation of humanitarian aid.
