“We must prevent conflict in the Middle East,” wrote German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on his X page, noting that negotiations are taking place with Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Qatar, which is also playing a mediating role, in agreement with Israel.
“It would be irresponsible not to use all the connections that can help in this situation,” Scholz wrote.
