Hayk Martirosyan Joins the List of Super Grandmasters

Hayk Martirosyan has joined the ranks of Armenian super grandmasters, surpassing the 2700 rating threshold. This was reported by the Chess Federation of Armenia.

“His current rating is 2710. Hayk achieved this result during the European Club Cup, where he secured four consecutive victories and played a draw in the fifth round against the 15th World Champion Vishwanathan Anand,” the statement said.

Hayk Martirosyan is now the highest-rated chess player in Armenia.
