Trump Open to Temporarily Serving as Speaker of the House
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that he is open to temporarily serving as Speaker of the House until legislators determine who will fill the position, according to Fox News.
He stated that he could only take on the speaker role for a "short term" as he plans to run for president again. Trump mentioned that this could be for "30, 60, or 90 days."
"I was asked to act as a unifier because I have many friends in Congress," the political figure said.
Trump did not clarify who specifically approached him with this proposal, but several Republicans had previously expressed their desire to see the former president in the speaker role.
It is noteworthy that Nancy Pelosi, who held the position, visited Armenia in 2022.
